Friends and Neighbors,

As we near the end of 2023, we look back fondly on the meaningful events we, as a community, have organized together and the days we’ve spent working side-by-side during clean-up efforts- tending to weeds, tidying up, and most importantly, building connections and friendships.

 

We began with the goal of implementing positive change in our beloved neighborhood park, Robson Harrington Park, where large parts of it had been abandoned and neglected. 

 

Through our efforts and coordination with public works, we have made great progress on our “Terraces Beautification Project.” Here's an updated message and a shout-out to those who've genuinely excelled in bringing this to fruition. Project Update

 

Phase 1: 

 

We're thrilled to share the exciting news that the benches have been successfully installed! Our heartfelt thanks go out to the Public Works team for their collaboration on this project and, of course, to all of you who made this purchase a reality.

 

Visit the park, wander through the terraces, and relish the fantastic vistas they provide. This achievement is a result of your contributions – you made it happen!

 

Phase 2:

 

Now that the benches are in position, our next tasks involve applying the remaining weed sheeting and covering it with wood chips. 

 

Once we have a reliable water source for these terraces, we aim to obtain sponsorship funds to acquire and plant beautiful shade trees next to each bench.

 

Future Projects

 

We've actively listened to your suggestions on our future endeavors and engaged in formal and informal conversations when we meet in the neighborhood. The wealth of fantastic ideas from everyone is truly inspiring. We'll send out a concise survey to better capture these ideas.
